Spooky cards today

Thought I would share some Halloween cards I did with my last CTMH class.  I will be teaching it again in Sparks next week-end at a local consignment store.  If you want more info. contact me by email  scrampalot@gmail.com

Anyways fun simple fast cards make a great time to share with your friends.

So while we are on the topic of Halloween...do you dress up for the occasion?

Do you dress up your pets?

I used to dress up all the time, but now I just dress the dogs.  They look much better than I do and since they like to answer the door - why not?

Creepy Stitchin

Just wanted to share my creepy stitchin wall quilt.  I call it creepy stitchin because I would probably scare a traditional quilter with my black scribbly(I know it's not a word) stitching.   But that is the look I was going for.

I think the fabric is so adorable and it kind of reminds me of the alot of the

Halloween movies that i watched with my daughter when she was young.

What a fun project to do and it only took a night!  Ok I roped Jessi into binding my quilt.

Trick-n-treating bags

It's getting that time of the year...Halloween.

I actually like the thought of dressing up as someone else and acting silly.  When my daughter was young we would have some much fun with it.  Her birthday is a week before Halloween so we would have a scary birthday party.  The parents would love it because then everyone got to wear their Halloween costume for more than 1 night.

That other day when I was on one of my quilt store shopping excursions, I found this panel that could be cut up into Halloween goodie bags.  I think they are just so fun!

Well some kids would think these bags are too small but I think they are perfect for

the grand kids.  Now I hope I get some photo of those gremlins in their costumes (hint, hint).

Like my step-kids ever read my blog.

Sunday Night Wishes Challenge

Tonight Tonya and I were hard at making a card from the Wishes Card Program book.  Just love this book!  Anyways, since I still have lots of little people and owls that I have been coloring all week-end.  Have I told you how much I love Copic markers.  Ok...my hubby doesn't like this new obsession with these markers because a set of 36 is over $100.  He will get over it that's why I sell CTMH to fund my obsession with scrapbooking, and card making. 

Back to the Sunday Challenge was Sentiment Secured on pg 78 of the Wishes book.

Aren't they cute little owls?  Want a close up?

Love the color combo Sweet leaf, hydrangea and More of Adore (chocolate patterened paper).

Colors used here are Sorbet, honey, blush & chocolate dotted paper.  The owl is a digital design from Pink Cat Studio - so it was contraband week-end for me!  Love to see how our CTMH products work so well with other companies products.

I had so much fun today...I was coloring ALL DAY LONG!  I was having so much fun coloring some digi stamps from Pink Cat Studio.  I will be sharing more this week-end!

Good Afternoon!

I'm a little late at posting today, really wanted to sleep in today and call in sick.  Didn't happen.  Every Sunday night I challenge myself to do a pattern out of the Wishes Card Confidence book by CTMH.  Since I waited until this afternoon I decided to use Jeanette, founder of CTMH, weekly color challenge too.  The card challenge for this week is Layered Look, page 19. 

Generally I shy away from yellows and oranges, so I am so glad that I'm trying somone elses color challenges, otherwise you would see lots of pink and greens.  If you would loke to do the challenge, just put you link in the comments section or email me a photo.  Love to see what you did!

Suuplies used:  All CTMH products, Silhouette dotted paper, Wishes, Holiday Hoopla stamp set, Orange, Black, Sunny Yellow & Citrus Leaf cardstock, Black & Orange ink pads, Citrus Leaf marker, black itty bitty brads & black pen for faux stitching.

Another Halloween Card

While I was at it last night I created another card.

Today a co-worker was asking me for ideas for her Halloween costume for her and her husband.  We tossed the ideas of Little Red Rding Hood, but the one I really liked was dressing up as a TV show, such as Abby from NCIS.  That would be toally funny.  Generally,  I don't do much for Halloween and we hardly get any trick or treaters anymore.  But I remember years ago dressing up with Jessie.  We would pick a theme for the year, almost always a Disney movie.  One year we were both mermaids.  I look at the holiday as a day that I can be someone else and make other people laugh.  So to stay in theme I made a Halloween card today.

Suuplies used:  CTMH Twitterpated paper pack, black cardstock, black & sorbet ink pads, CTMH Beware stamp set, CTMH Creepy Cobwebs stamp set, black ribbon, & orange button.

Feeling a little batty

Lats night I was feeling a little batty. They said the hearing aid will make me grumpy and over stimulated for a little bit as I hear new things - so I had to turn them off and run to my scraproom to create! Generally I don't do a whole lot for Halloween but I really love the background stamp on CTMH Beware stamp set. I used green patterned paper from the Expedition paper pack, black & hydrangea ink pads, purple Gelly Roll pen and purple ric rac ribbon.

ps. I really love taking my pictures outside, but winter will be here soon. Please be patient while I get my indoor photo lighting correct.
