CSAYL Watercolor challenge

Happy Friday!

This week's challenge over at CSAYL is to watercolor a Christmas card.  That was a challenge to put down the Copics and try to do something else.  It was so fun though.  I hope to share with you the Copic version of this card too.

Anyways the sponsor for this week's challenge is InSytle stamps.  You should go over there amd check out their images, she has some adorable anime girls.  They are being so generous by offering 4 FREE DIGIS up for grabs this week. I'll announce a winner when I post the new challenge next Friday.

Won't you join us over at CSAYL?
Have a great week-end - Judy

Here's a little chick for you!

Today I'm playing with a technique I learned.  Making textures with your blender Copic marker.  If you click on the the card and get a bigger picture view you will see that the tummy of the little chick has spots.
All I did was color the chick so there was a good ink coverage and then applied the colorless blender pen and it pushes the ink to make a subtle texture.  The longer you leave the pen there more color is pushed away.  Isn't that cool?

The image is from InStyle Stamps.  I'm only have a few more weeks being a guest designer for ISS, but i have learned so much.  Here are a few things you could do with this image since it is a digital stamp.  You could resize it to any size, copy it and make a row of chicks, or copy it and flip the image to make two chicks looking at each other.  If you want to see some of those examples let me know in the comments area.

Thank goodness it's Friday and I have chocolate! - Judy

Good Morning!   Come join in the Club Anime Blog for the monthly color challenge.  For this month I wanted to join in and try something new, purple hair.  Why can't a fairy have purple hair?
Here is the color inspriation photo.  I mainly focused on the purple and greens, a little tired of pink.  If you want to join the challenge go to...HERE and add your card to the linky!
I used the InStyle image Ava with Banner with CTMH tiny typewriter alpha font for the sentiment on the banner.  And I'm just loving my new Cuttlebug embossing folders!

Have a great day and go check out the challenge...HERE!

Supplies used:  ISS Ava w/Banner, CTMH alpha stamp set, Nestability labels die, Copics, ribbon, flowers & sparkles.

Love birds...

Once a week I post a card that uses an InStyle stamps image, this week has two!  Generally I do ISS anime images but I just love these little birds and frame.  Wouldn't this be a really nice wedding card or valentine?
I also decided to challenge myself to do a card without ribbon or flowers.  How'd I do?

I hope you have a warm and safe week-end! - Judy

Happy Birthday to me.

A day early!!  Ok I was suposed to do a Valentine card today, but my Birthday is tomorrow and was feeling "Birthdayish".  I know not a word.  Doesn't she look like me, like a million years ago?

My challenge for me today was to make a simple card without flowers or ribbon.  If you look at most of my stuff I have the bumpiest cards ever.  OK, so she is bumped up with pop dots, but that doesn't count.  The image is from InStyle Stamps, doesn't her cake look yummy?  Ok a black cake might be a little morbid, but it is my birthday.  Which I don't look forward to.  The dotted paper is from Papertrey and the Happy Birthday stamp is from CTMH.

Have a grand Friday! - Judy

ps. if you are looking for something to do tomorrow I'm having a clean out your craft closet sale.  Lots of stamps, paper, beads, yarn, fabric & more.  Just email me.

Club Anime sketch challenge #4

This was such a fun challenge just love playing with the InStyle images and BLING!  I made my card as a side open card.  I added a piece of white cardstock inside, because it is sometime a little difficult to write on black cardstock.

You can't see the inside with this shot, but I really love this color combo!
Here is the little cutties face!

I hope everyone's Christmas was a happy and joyful one.  We kept it low keep and played the Wii all day, well I did sneak upstairs to play with my new goodies.  Hubby and Jessi filled my stocking with embellishments so that I can and all the bling I want!

Have a wonderful Saturday! - Judy

Supplies used: InStyle digi - Mykai, DCWV paper - All Dressed up (my favorite), CTMH cardstock: black, white daisy, Cuttlebug, nestablities, flower, ribbon, & pearls.

Ahhh Sunday!

I love Sundays, it is usually a day that Jessie and I play with the stamps, make cards, and cook together.  Today Jessie & I are busy with preparations for Keith's birthday.  His birthday is actually tomorrow, but today we are making cards, baking a cake and surprising him with lasagna dinner.  So I will post are card creations later today, BUT here is one that Jessie did yesterday.

She is really enjoying using my Copic markers.  All supplies are CTMH, except for the birthday girl image that came from In Style Stamps.  If you want each stamp set that I used just let me know.  I know she used about 4 sets!!

Happy Sunday! - Judy
