Happy Monday!

Ok, today is the day.  I'm another year older...yikes!
I really don't like to admit I'm getting older.  But I can't seem to break the calendar so that is stays at 39.  Haha, I don't feel older but I see the droopy skin starting.  Oh how I don't want to look like my mother.

So we start the day with cupcake fever, with the lovely owl cupcakes.  Thanks Pinterest for giving my daughter ideas!  Then we move to my nails...

Please don't notice how bad my cuticles are.  Actually if you know of a great cuticle treatment let me know.  It dry here in Reno.

But I didn't stop there...I made these adorable cupcake Mug Rugs.  I'm making more today.
Just listed this one.

But doesn't it look cute with the cupcake on it???

Have a happy Monday!

Moosing around...

Sorry for the second post for today, but I'm trying to catch up, new job, and new work hours.  Today I'm focusing on stamping, this is one of the two projects.  Tomorrow you will see the other.  Anyways, my Sisiter-in-law loves moose, she has never really seen one because she lives in South Carolina.  Her birthday is coming up and I try to make a moose card for her each year, I also send moose pins, earring and other goodies I can find.  This card was made with my Cricut Cartridge - Give a Hoot.  I just love the swirls on the animals in that cartridge.  The stamping portion was done with CTMH stamp set -  Legendary moments  and a retired CTMH sentiment set.

So my question of the day is...Do you have an Cricut Expressions?  If you do, do you like it & use it?

Have a wonderful Sunny Monday!

Twisted Thursday AND Alice Digi????

What an exciting day...Two fun things are happening at Shirley's 2 Girls.  Are you looking forward to the movie Alice and Wonderland?  I am.
Well the Queen of hearts is here to introduce the first of the reveals from S2G.
Today Jane & I are here to start the the reveals and remind you of the Twisted Thursday Challenge too.

So Are you ready?
Now doesn't Alice look like she is about to do down a slide, or better yet down the hole?  I'll give her a nudge and see where she goes.

Oh no!!! She went head over heels.  But what a fun it was to make a spinner card.  A good challenge for me since its been years since I have taught this class.  But when I think of Alice in Wonderland I always think of the "I'm late...late...for an important date".  I know it wasn't what Alice said, but I wanted to make this card into a belated birthday card.  So here is the inside...

So next hop on over to Jane's blog to see what she has done with Alice and then stop at S2G for the Twisted Thursday challenge - which BTW is a card with GREEN!  Join us and you can win a Alice in Wonderland image for yourself.

Have a happy Twisted Thursday! - Judy

Shirley's 2 Girls and the team are still partying and celebrating!  They will be announcing all the winners for the last week's FREEBIES Friday night, so go take a peek at S2G and see if your name was drawn!

Are you ready for this weeks challenge, no sketch, the challenge is to make a shaker card.....BUT with a TWIST? The is confettii!! Then head on over to the Shirley's2Girls Challenge Blog to see all the girls creations, get directions on how to make a shaker card AND post your creation on Mr Linky!  Each week there is a winner!

So going with the TWIST of confetti I made a shaker card, using the Whee digi image from S2G.  Doesn't she look like she's having fun?
It has been a long time since I made one and it was fun to use my nestablity dies to cute the border and the acetate.  I know we were suposed to use confetti inside the shaker, but I just love these orange beads and they worked just perfect.  And today while I was walking in Joann's I found these felt flowers in the party colors or lime, orange & pink!

So hop on over to S2G Challenge blog and play with us & leave a little love for the DT members.

Have a Twisted Thursday! - Judy

Birthday bear

Yesterday I found this teddy in the mist of all my newly accumulating digis.  Ok they are becoming a little obsession as I learn to color with my Copiics.  This one came from Doodle Palace.  I thought this teddy would be a good one for me to practice my shading.

I have a Dr. office that I make cards for and she is looking for Birthday & thinking of you cards, so I am trying to catch up on my orders while I'm on Christmas break.  I have off from today at Noon until Jan 4th!  Whoo hoo!  I really need this break and so does my jaw (TMJ issues).  Right now I'm on a soft food diet and I am really wanting a big hamburger and chip & salsa.  It is kinda hard when you mouth will only open about 1 1/4" if that!

I'll see you tomorrow! - Judy

Supplies used:  CTMH Topstich paper pack (avail. 1/1/10), CTMH Happy Birthday Stamp set, Doodle Palace birthday bears, Copic markers, ribbon & flowers.

Birthday cards for Keith

My hubby, Keith is celebrating another birthday and we thought we would surprise him today with present, dinner and cake.  I always pick some kind of therme and this year was black & blue.  Silly, but the cupcakes looked pretty. Sorry I didn't get a picture of them before we ate a few.  This card was made with CTMH cardstock and a new stamp set that will release on Jan 1st.  Love the big candles.

And here is the card that Jessie made.  She used the Originals Card Confidence book for the design and a paper pack that will also be released on Jan 1st.  Lots to look forward to.  The robot image was one that she found online by My Favorite Things.

Happy Birthday Keith!

Ahhh Sunday!

I love Sundays, it is usually a day that Jessie and I play with the stamps, make cards, and cook together.  Today Jessie & I are busy with preparations for Keith's birthday.  His birthday is actually tomorrow, but today we are making cards, baking a cake and surprising him with lasagna dinner.  So I will post are card creations later today, BUT here is one that Jessie did yesterday.

She is really enjoying using my Copic markers.  All supplies are CTMH, except for the birthday girl image that came from In Style Stamps.  If you want each stamp set that I used just let me know.  I know she used about 4 sets!!

Happy Sunday! - Judy

An Owl Happy Birthday

It's a simple card today!  But I have been really trying to stay just to birthday cards this week.  All supplies used for this card are CTMH: Magic Moments paper pack, and You're a Hoot Stamp set.

On a personal note: I'm on a major sleep deprevation week.  I have been having trouble sleeping for over a week and my jaw hurts from grinding all night.  I'm going to get an X-ray today.  But I don't think they can do much for TMJ other than a new night guard for my mouth.
Wish me luck! - Judy

Supplies used are: CTMH Blooming Flourishes stamp set, Black ink pad, white, chocolate, bubblegum and sweet leaf cardstock, Copic markers, ribbon and sparkles.

I hope you have a sparkly day today! And remember the website sales starts today at 8AM!

Birthday's anyone?

Sorry I took a few days off from posting.  I was able to catch up on my specials orders, teach a scrap class and do a little black Friday shopping even in all the snow and icy roads.

This week I'm focusing on birthday's.  I noticed that my birthday card stash was low and we have quite a few this December & January.  Are there any other Capicorn or Aquarians out there?

You can get this stamp set this coming February!

Supplies used:  CTMH Twitterpated patterned paper, DCWV dotted paper, CTMH Piece of Cake (coming this Feb. stamp of the month), Copic markers, CTMH sweet leaf ribbon rounds, flowers & sprakles.
