This week over at CSAYL we have a card sketch for you.  I hope you join us in this challenge.
This week I used a digital image from Sassy Cheryl's.  She has just re-vamped her website so go check out her digis.  They are so cute.

But first look at our card sketch...

Show me and She Art Girl #2

This is my morning project...to finish another She Art canvas.  I'm taking this online class called the She Art Workshop by Christy Tomlinson.  It is an awesome class, just I'm not the best at keeping up on online classes.  It would be awesome if she would come to Reno, NV and take a week-end retreat...(hint, hint.)
But I am very happy with this canvas because it looks so nice on my desk!
I made it for the bathroom wall...aqua, brown and butterflies is my downstairs guest bathroom.  However, the wall is bigger than I thought and I would have to make at least 2-3 canvases to make that wall look nice.  I guess that will be next week!

But why I was at it, I thought I would share my messy workspace that I have to clean up now.  Actually I used to join in on a group over at Paper Craft Planet, called Sassy Cheryl's and on Thursday's she likes to see what your work space looks like...so this is for Cheryl!
I miss you girls alot.

Yes there is my 2nd morning Diet Pepsi!  Lots of glue, inks, stamps, pens and glue.

I have to say it was nice to have a little break from my sewing room.  I have been working hard on inventory...etsy shop coming soon!

So go make something today!

Sassy Monday!

Today's post is a little late.  But today I wanted to make something special for a friend of mine and what a great way to recycle last year's Valentine box!  I want to put something special in this heart box for her because she has been so great at showing me around Reno and introducing me to more people.  And this image from Sassy Cheryl's was just perfect!  Thanks Cheryl!  Sassy Cheryl has weekly challenges with a new released image and she also has a challenge where you show your work space or what you are working on.  So here is my Show Me challenge too...my messy workspace.
I have such a bad habit of pulling lots of things out, spreading out and spill onto the floor.  to me the floor space is a filing space too, but it doesn't work well when you have two little fur babies.  I haven't quite trained Mia to stop walking on my paper!

So there is more time to enter Sassy's challenges, just hop on over to her blog!
Have a Sassy Monday Evening!

It's a Sassy Monday

It's another Sassy Monday and here is a great image from Sassy Cheryl's.  I chose a color combo from Paper Crafts Color Inspiration magazine: colors tan, green, yellow.  I generally shy away from yellow so here is another attempt.

Go on over to join the Sassy challenge HERE.

Have a great Monday! - Judy

It's a Sassy Monday

I kinda feel sassy this morning, maybe it is because I'm planning a big purchase.  But really Sassy Cheryl's has a challenge every week and this week is "snow".  Well we don't have any snow here in Sparks and the temperature yesterday around lunchtime was 65 degrees!!  We do have the oddest weather here, next week we could have a foot of snow.  Is it winter or spring?  But  many of my Alaskan friends still have quite a bit of snow.

So if your are having nice weather or snowy it is always a good day to be sassy.  However, I just love this image of the snowman blowing bubbles.  Go checkout Sassy Cheryl's images here.

Have a wonderful day and "Be yourself". - Judy

Show Me challenge

Today I'm playing with paint and canvas.  Kinda fun and a little different for me, so I thought I would share a photo and enter it into Sassy Cheryl's Show ME challenge that she has every Thursday and maybe tomorrow I can show you the finished canvas.

So here is my messy workspace in the guest room where I teach stamping and scrapbooking classes.
Yes I can get very messy if I want to!  I wonder how long the Gesso will be on my fingers?

Creative Monday!!

I feel so energized this morning!  It is a creative Monday...I'm entering challenges, finishing projects, my mind has so many ideas of what I want to play with today.  Here is a image from Sassy Cheryl's Color Me Challenge, each Tuesday she posts a digi at a discounted price and has followers create with it.  Tomorrow is a new image.  I can't wait to see what she releases on her blog.  This is a card for several challenges (see below).

Here is another image from Sassy Cheryl's call Marker Artist.  Thought this image would be great on my workspace wall, reminding me daily to CREATE!

I hope today is filled with things to create! - Judy

I don't like wrapping!

But I do love tins!  I love to have lots of boxes and tins around the house for quick gift giving ideas.  Here is a tin that I covered and added a pre-colored digi from Sassy Cheryl's.  So if you are in a hurry you can just print a colored image and add it to your gift and card!
And as you can see the card and tin is quite blingy.  I got this tool called the I-rock and  it adheres all sizes of rhinestones to anything.

Well so here is my theme for the month - Birthdays.  I have this little pet peeve about birthdays being forgotten, so most of this month you will see lots of birthday cards, organizers, calendars and gift wrapping ideas.  My hope is to get my hubby and his family on track about remembering each others special day.  Ok so maybe it is because my birthday is in 20 days that I'm feeling a little anxious about turning another year older or maybe I don't care about how old I am, but that I should have a special day.  Who knows!  I just hope this year I can make a few people smile for remembering their birthdays.

Go out there and create something to make someone smile - Judy

Sassy Cheryl's is the best

Today I'm being featured on Sassy Cheryl's blog - so exciting!  I thought I would share the projects with you.

This first project is using Sassy's Rapunzel and Prince charming digital image.  I thought it was a great image knowing Tangled just came out, a movie I will want to see.  One of my favorite Nerd Herd actor is in it, you would have to watch Chuck to know who.
Anyways...the colors went perfect with my wedding photos and we had our honeymoon at Excalibur in Las Vegas and it was a castle.

The second project I worked on this week-end is an address Rolodex.

This is the front.

I thought this would be the best way for me to store addresses.  People are always moving and my hubby is always needing an address, so what a great way to add and change info!  Here I used Sassy Cheryl's digital image of Pick a card.  It seemed to be the right image for this project since I'm always telling my hubby to go pick a card out of the card box or two or three.  Yes, I have loads of cards.  I plan on opening my Etsy shop soon!

I hope you enjoyed these ABC Anything by Card projects today and see you tomorrow!

I love Sundays!

I always get to color on Sundays and I feel so creative on that day.  Here is another image from Sassy Cheryl's Bicycle Snowman.  I thought the image was so cute and silly.  It made me think of all the people rushing thru the stores trying to get their shopping done.  Thanks goodness I'm pretty much done, just mailing goodies tomorrow to family.  I might pick up an item or two for hubby, but now the fun starts - WRAPPING!  I really dislike wrapping and I think all gifts should come in gift bags.  Much easier and recyclable.  Yes I re-gift my gift bags!!

Well this card is going to my MIL, since she is feeling way behind on this years Christmas.  She is distressing about her decorations and hasn't even started.  If only we were a little closer I could help her.

Speaking of decorations...I will have a share some homemade decorations with you tomorrow!

Happy Stamping! - Judy

Snow kisses!

I'm back!  For some reason I took several days off from creating...well not really.  I have been creating but not finishing anything.  Every time I sit down to create I would get interrupted and would either have to run errands, put out fires or just veg in front of the TV.  I colored this image to enter into another Sassy Cheryl's challenges but I missed the deadline.  Oh well there is another one this week!

This card I used a retired paper pack from CTMH, but just love the lavender & blues.  I wish they would come out with another pack with these colors.  I tend to like non-traditional Christmas colors, rather than red & green.  You might have figured that out by now.

So you should go over to Sassy Cheryl's and check out her images.
 Have a great day!

Ps. are you done with your Christmas shopping yet?

Challenges today

I have been busy working on prepping for upcoming classes, Christmas cards, making ornaments, decorating the house and found some time to do a card challenge or two.
Here is another awesome image from Sassy Cheryl's.  I just love her snowmen!
This card design is from a sketch over at Techno Stamper blog.
But while I was at it I made another card but in another color.

Can you tell I like this image??
While I was at it I thought I would join a few more challenges.  I hope you do too.  Here is a list of some fun ones.
Pink Elephant - Blue/green/red (card #1)
Paper Sundaes challenge - Adorn the corners
A Crafty Little Place - Anything goes

See you tomorrow. - Judy

Show Me Challenge

Yes when I create I have stuff all over the place.   You won't see the mess to often online, but if you come to my house it becomes a mess every time I create.  However the mess gets twice as much if both Jessi & I are creating together which is quite often!  Thank goodness I have a forgiving hubby.  Why you ask?  He has to share this space with me...hahaha.  It is actually a good sized room 14' x 12'.  So here is a peek into my room.  It is still had bare walls and most of the mess is behind cabinet doors so it looks tidy in a hurry.

Today I picked up the space and started a new project, which I will share later.  After each project I do pick up otherwise I have too many piles on the floor.  I'm trying to break me of the habit of throwing my piles in the middle of walkways.  Hard habit to curb.  So here is neat & tidy room...

I'm on the left and hubby on the right.  This is what you see when you walk thru the double doors into room.  then you turn to the LEFT and see my working side.  Some storage for the things you grab all the time...embellishments, ribbon, copics, nesties, stamps are all in the cabinets above my desk and in the bins.

Next you turn to the RIGHT and you see the wall of storage.  We lined the upper and lower with cabinets.  they store my Cricut, paper, printers, books, odd stuff to alter, other die cutters, office supplies and of course a few cabinets for my hubby's stuff.

But today I had a wild hair to change my Copic storage system.  They have been in my CTMH stamp storage boxes and that is great for portability.  My last house I would work upstairs and downstairs, now I'm all in one room.  So I wanted easy access.  Not sure if it will work, but I thought I would give it a try for a couple of weeks.  And these cute tins were on sale at Micheal's.

See there is still space in my tins for some more copics.  Maybe Santa will fill my stocking with copics...probably not but I can give him my list anyways.

So this is my SHOW ME challenge for Sassy Cheryl's blog.  Go check out a where the other peeps create and get some storage or crafting ideas.  Who doesn't like to peek at others rooms?

Happy Saturday - Judy

Sweet Sketch challenge

Today, well actually yesterday while the turkey was cooking and my hubby was watching some tool show on TV, I sneaked away to my office with my daughter and we decided to play with some digital images from Sassy Cheryl's.  She has the cutes little snowmen, was very hard to chose 3.  Yes, I bought 3 but I could have easily purchased  more.  So this is the Fat Dancing Snowman, colored with Copics on Basic Grey sugar Rush paper pack.  The card layout is a sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday challenge AND Sassy Cheryls Thankful challenge.

I hope you enjoyed!

Sweet Sketch - card sketch
Sassy Cheryl's - thankful card

Organizing Monday...

I had an ugly blank wall in my scraproom and wasn't sure if I wanted more cabinets so this is what I did.

These are some shutters for the outside of the house.  I got them at Home Depot for $25 for the set of 2.  I thought is would be a creative way to display my latest cards that I have been working on and to display those cards that I get from my Snail Mail group.  I have a few people who wanted to be on the list to get Happy Mail.  So I am pretty happy to be able to look up and see this while I'm creating.

Speaking of creating...I'm working hard on my December 1st class.  We are making a card, box and ornament, but I'm showing this work in progress because over at Sassy Cheryl's Designs she has a weekly challenge for you to show off your workspace.  Here is a little snippet of my workspace because I'm not yet ready to show off the NEW Scraproom.  It's coming soon.

So have a happy Monday and either join me with organizing your scraproom, Happy Snail Mail OR join Sassy Cheryl's "SHOW ME" challenge.
