strawberries anyone?

Here is a card I made yesterday while the carpet guys were upstairs banging away.  They started at 9am and went until 8pm.  So needless to say, all the furniture and mess is now downstairs waiting for me to clean.

Right now I'm kinda living out of boxes, so printing a digi was a great way to go.  This digi stamp is from Fred She Said - Emma w/strawberries.  The paper is from CTMH.

Copics used:
Emma's dress - B0000, B000, B00
Leaves - YG13, YG17
Strawberries - R32, R35
Skin - E000, E50, E51, R20
Basket - E30, E31, E35

Have a happy hump day!

Here is my "Fred She Said" creation:
I had so much FUN color Emma with her bubbles.  The minute I saw her I thought of summer and how much fun it is to blow bubbles at my dog, Kiska.  She really doesn't like them, not sure why.  I added Stickles and Diamond Glaze to Emma's bubbles.  I also colored the paper flowers with my copic markers to make sure they would match.  So I let the sentiment off, because I'm thinking of mailing this card to a special friend who needs a little pick me up!

My special code word is: FUN

Get Well Dad!

Here is a card that I made for my Dad.   Some of you who follow my blog know that my dad had surgery 10 days ago to remove a malignant tumor, well yesterday we got wonderful news!  They got all the cancer!  But he still has some recovery to do and some weight to gain back.  I hope this card perks his up his mood, but I will have to include some goodies too!

This card was made with a Fred She Said pre-colored digi that was released last week.  This is such a great image with father's day coming or any male birthday!

Have a wonderful Tuesday - Judy

Here is my second "Fred She Said" creation:

As you see I am just loving these butterflies!  I wanted to show you two different versions of what you can do with FSS Flutterbies for your flowers digi.  The first card at the top of the post I colored it to match the colors in the DP.  It just looks wonderful with the doilie.  The second card I wanted to give the same digi stamp a more contemporary look.  This one I did shades of yellow and added a Diamond Glaze on the wings.  These are both great and simple cards with two different looks.
Which one do you like?

Snow!?

Hard to think about flowers and spring when it snowed all yesterday.  I just woke up to a new layer of snow and 21 degrees.  So my project today is not a card, but a bag.  What a great gift bag to give someone some tea or chocolate.
Here is the side view:
The bag template is a digital template and paper from Pixel Geeks Designs and the stamped Spring Flowers image is from Fred She Said.  I just love how they work so well together and I love how with Copic markers you can match the colors of your paper so well.

I kept my project simple today, mainly because I am very distracted.  My dad is having surgery this morning to hopefully remove his cancer.  Please keep our family in your prayers today.

Today is Fred She Said's Monthly challenge!!  This month we want to leave Old Man Winter behind so let's create a VERY SPRING-Y project, loaded with lovely pastel colors!

Be sure to use a FRED SHE SAID image somewhere on your card! If you don't have one, there are LOADS of freebies available HERE!

I had so much fun making this circle card.  I used FSS new digi - Paper Pricking Frame & Flourish AND FSS digi - Flutterbies for your flowers.  The little butterlies I colored them with my Copics, added a little Stickles and then added Dimensioal Glaze to make them shiny!

After they dried I slight bent then upward and attached with a glue dot.  In this picture you can see the paper peircing, butterflies, sponging and some hand doodling I did around the circle.

But I didn't stop there...I just had too much fun with these butterflies.  I slightly decorated the inside of the card to make it complete.
I did the same thing to the inner circle as on the outside of the card, sponge, hand doodle and added a couple more butterflies.
I hope you enjoyed my circle card.  they are a blast to make and very easy with my Nestability dies.
So join us at Fred She Said and make a SPINGY card, and rember to pick up a FREEBIE or two!

Happy Seward's Day!  One this day in 1867, Alaska was purchased from Russia and became part of the US territory.

Here is my "Fred She Said" creation, I hope you like it!
My card is a little different than my normal of using Copics to color.  Today I wanted to show you another way to play with digital stamps.  I get asked all the time if you need to have Copic markers to play with the digis, nope!  I just love Copics.  So from time to time, I like to show you other ways to play with digis.  This week I printed the FSS A Lovely Blossom on pink cardstock, cut them out, distressed them a little bit with my Bubblegum ink pad, popped it up and added a button.  Super simple and FRED has made it easy for you by putting multiple size of flowers on one page, so I had a page full of pink flowers that I can add to other projects!
My special code word is: HAVE - you will need this at the end of the hop!

Sweet little Rosey

I think the card turned out so cute and look no embellishments!  What?  I always embellish.  I have a few Dr. offices that purchase cards from me and sometimes they don't like all the bumpy's.  I do!  But this card just really pops in person.  The puppy image is from Fred She Said Designs - Rosey with flower digi...you can see her HERE.  Then, I stamped the CTMH sentiment (TLC) above the puppies head, which that is the main reason to use acrylic stamps, they are so flexible.  I love using my stamps along with the digital stamps, the best of both worlds.  The patterened paper is from 3 Bugs in a Rug.

Just a reminder that Fred She Said has a monthly challenge going on, so go join in...HERE.

Spring yet?

I thought I would ask Emma from Fred She Said Digital Designs (FSS), to ask her little birdie friend if it is spring yet?

I thought she was appropriate since we still have snow here and wearing boots & scarves.  In fact as I am writing this, it is 30 degrees which is warm for us, which means the roads freeze at night, thaw during the day.  It makes a wet and slushy mess.

FSS has a challenge going on so hop on over and check it out..HERE.  the deadline is March 28th and you could be the lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate!

Have a Springy Tuesday - Judy

FSS Challenge anyone?

Monday is a great day to start your week with a challenge.  Fred She Said has a monthly challenge and gives lots of goodies away if you play!  The challenge blog is HERE.  The challenge is to make a card/project with at least 3 hearts on it.  I chose to do a picture frame with my favorite picture of my mom.  Here she is 16yo. Don't you love those colorized photos?  I was going to convert the photo to B&W but chose to keep it in its orginal state.

So do you like these pansies?  Purple was mom's favorite color and she loved pansies & bagonias, spelling off there!!  Well I chose to used FSS pre-colored pansies.  Yes, you heard me.  A project with out stamping or coloring.  Here's the card in two colors.
If you want to see the images bigger just click on the photo.
I left the sentiments off because I wasn't sure how I want to use them.

So go check out the FSS challenge blog...HERE and join in.
I'm entering in two challenges for fun!

Fred She Said Spotlight

Have you ever had those times when your mind goes totally blank? Well it happened to me when I was asked do this weeks DT spotlight for Fred She Said. I have had a really busy last two week, and dealing with some family issues makes creativity a little on empty. AND to top it off, Fred She Said DT is so awesome and I wasn’t sure where I fit in. So I went to ask “Fred” (Tracy) and I had this feeling she wanted me to do something on the lines of scrapbooking.

I have been teaching scrapbook classes for seven years, so scrapbooking I can do. Many people know that I LOVE to do mini albums. You get such a satisfaction from doing them, first they are cute, second you don’t need a lot of pictures and third you can do one for every theme.

Ok...so back to my blank mind. I have so many ideas wandering around in that thing called a brain, but I still have to surf the net to get some inspiration. I stumbled upon this YouTube video of a very talented lady HERE and I watched how she made a mini album from those legal mailing envelopes. I had my plan!

I started with just regular envelopes and cut a ½” off each end – simple huh? Then scored them, covered them with paper, add chip board and FSS awesome images and this is what you get! I know you are all going to go watch the video, so all them dimensions are there for you. Again here is the link…HERE.

I have been asked several times how the digital stamps can be used in a scrapbook and I just love how FSS images just compliment this book.  This image is Fred's - A lovely blossom & butterfly digi.  Hee is a peek of the inside...

This is the left hand side where you can hide some journaling or additional photos.  And as you see the digi flowers are just great accents and the faux stitching really makes it look complete.

This is the right hand side and a great place to add a good size photo, the flap also lifts up for more hidden stuff or you can write something special about the person on the inside of the flap!

I'm sorry I didn't get my friends photos in the book.  I have a few requests from them to send me an updated photo.  So I hope you enjoyed this little scrapbook tour and I know you will enjoy the Youtube video.
 So go scrapbook! - Judy

Supplies used: FSS - A lovely Blossom & Butterfly Digi, CTMH Veranada Paper pack, CTMH True Friends sentiment stamp, chipboard, ribbon, Copics, Nestabilities and pearls.

Because I love you...

Today I was choosing to do a card that just focused on the image, and what an image it is!  I just love the box of chocolate.  i would love this for Valentine's because it has no calories.  Since I have had three days of pink cards I wanted to choose a not so traditional color combo.  And my favorite rose in a sterling silver, which is the lavendar rose.

The image "Better than Chocolate" came from Fred She Said Designs. It has a very nice sentiment, but I chose to use a retired CTMH stamp set Because I love you.
Here is the inside of the card...

So enjoy your Tuesday! - Judy

Silly Birthday Card

Aww!  This is a card my daughter would love to give me.  Isn't this a cute birthday card?  From the oustide it is a very nice card, but from the inside...

it has a message about getting older!  Thank goodness I made this card in light of my birthday AND, no, Jessi did not give this to me.  But she loved this image and saying.  The girl has got my sense of humor!

This card image and sentiment is a new image, called Empty Packets Shrugger at Fred She Said Designs.  It has both a boy & girl too and lots more sayings!  I added my CTMH products to this card too (Believe in a Dream swirl stamp, Togetherness stitches stamp), CTMH Sweet Home paper pack, Copic markers, flowers & pearls.

So Happy Birthday to Me - Judy

It's Caboodle day

Here is the make & take at my CTMH Open House yesterday.  All the supplies were CTMH for the above card.  I used one of the new paper packs, Caboodle!!  Cute name huh?  Reminds me of poodle or noodle.  Sorry a little silly!!It was such a fun project and I had a few extra cards pre-cut that later I played with it again.

This card I just changed the focal image to a FREEBIE from Fred She Said.  I colored two images and cut one out to pop on top!  Such a fun colors.  But here is the inside...

This can be made into a money holder or gift certificate holder or better yet what a great idea for Valentines.  You can fill it with some fun coupons, such as: movie night, back rub, dinner or whatever your special person would like.

Happy Sunday!  I'm coloring today so I will have lots of goodie to look at this week.  There will be a challenge on Thursday and a Blog hop on Friday - fun, fun, fun! - Judy

Birthday Fishes

This is such a cute image from Fred She Said, Emma the Mermaid & Friends.  This fish is one of her friends.  Doesn't the top fish reminds you of those little gold fish crackers?  I could just gobble him up, instead I popped him up.

This card just shimmers every which way you turn it, the photo doesn't show it to its fullest.  I used Stickles on the background and then found these glittery flowers on my shelf just begging to come out and play.

Have a Happy Gold Fish Day! - Judy

Snow Angels!!

Snow Angels anyone?  They are something that makes me smile.
I picked up the most current Card Creations Magazine and the whole feature was about creating cards from inside and out.  They have some great ideas, a must have magazine!

So there are a couple stamp sets that came to me for this project, but my first was this snow angel image from Fred She Said Designs, which, BTW "I got on their design team!!".  Emma is so cute in the snow and since we still have loads of snow for the next couple of months - snow angels are good for us Alaskans.  I just made up the sentiment for this card in Word.

So go out and make snow angels today OR just try to remember when the last time you made one.
Judy

Supplies used: CTMH card stock, Emma snow angel from FSS, Copic markers, snowflake punch & sparkles.
